Lieutenant General, U.S. Air Force (Ret.)

Dick Newton has successfully led thousands of men and women during peacetime and times of crisis. His 34 years in the U.S. Military culminated as the United States Air Force Assistant Vice Chief of Staff. Previously he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Manpower and Personnel, responsible for the comprehensive plans and policies for nearly 670,000 military and civilian Air Force members.

He also has significant corporate board experience. Dick is a Director, Victory Capital Management, Inc., United Services Automobile Association (USAA) Mutual Fund Board of Trustees, the privately held PredaSAR Corporation, and a member of the Israel Aerospace Industries, North America Strategic Advisory Board, among others. He previously served as Chairman of the Board of the $10B for profit Army and Air Force Exchange Service retail global store chain. Finally, he is the Managing Partner of the Pioneer Partnership Development Group, a consulting firm in the commercial, retail and defense industry sectors.

Dick has over twenty years of successful senior executive leadership in business management and
aerospace operations from EVP of a 100K member non-profit association, to Executive Director of the
prestigious Union League Club, New York City, to leading the US Air Force human resource enterprise.
Additionally, he oversaw the Global Operations directorate for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, responsible for
overseeing worldwide cyber security, reconnaissance, space and missile defense, the National Military
Command Center and US military special technical operations, among others.

With a focus on Strategic Planning, National Security Strategy, Senior Executive Leadership
Development and Cyber Security, General Newton brings an outstanding military and private sector track record to his numerous speaking engagements. He is a frequent national security guest contributor on Fox News and is a faculty member at the Thayer Leader Development Group located at West Point, New York, home of the United States Military Academy.

He and his wife Jody have been married forty years and after twenty-three moves now reside in Jupiter
Beach, Florida. They have two married daughters, and three grandchildren. They are both very active in
the south Florida area.

A command pilot with nearly 3000 flying hours, Dick commanded Minot Air Force Base and the 5th Bomb Wing in North Dakota and the nation’s first B-2 Stealth bomber squadron at Whiteman AFB, Missouri. He has operational experience in several aircraft including the B-2, B-1B, B-52 and the T-38.

Born at Forbes Air Force Base, Kansas, he hails from an Air Force family, graduating from the United
States Air Force Academy in 1978 (B.S. History), Webster University (M.A. Industrial Psychology and
Human Relations) and the National War College, (M.S. National Security Strategy).
